FlorentinoTuason
I'd like to automate a piece of "task" in a freelancing website, the freelancing website has a "program" to monitor keyboard and mouse activity, I'd like to automate the "task" by simulating keystrokes and mouseclicks, but before i do, will it pass as real mouseclicks or keystroke? I'm just concerned that automating the "task" but the "program" will not record those keystrokes/mouseclick because of the automation hence, the employer will not pay me because the task is based on real keystrokes/mouseclicks (etc. data entry)... Developers Jos Posted December 3, 2012 Developers Share Posted December 3, 2012 This all doesn't sound very legitimate to me. On top of that, the way you write "task" and "program" doesn't make it any better. FlorentinoTuason
yes, its like asking to "fool" the "program" into thinking the "automation" as if i pressed on the keyboard and mouse clicked, it's just that the "task" is very repeatitive, like saying 1) click on x,y 2) copy to the clipboard on those coordinates (click drag) 3) click on a,b 4) depending on 2) simulate to type "keystroke" 5) goto 1 so i just used the term "task"... EndGame2013
it really doesn't matter if you can register "legitimate" keystrokes. I'm sure the website has a way of monitoring clicks to prevent this type of abuse.... considering they are paying you for clicks it would be in their best interest to make sure each one was legitimate. It has been a long time since this scam worked. I would suggest trying to generate legitimate traffic instead, or actually complete the surveys, or whatever "task" your trying to "automate"..... "sigh" lol Edited December 3, 2012 by SkybotGaming
FlorentinoTuason
almost all freelancing websites has a "monitoring program" that monitors kb/mouse/screen activity, and i really can't devulge it as of now, just want to find out if that violates their "working agreement" by using automation programs like autoit like do the work by automation thus will be like cheating their system on other giving "fair work" (i.e. not using any automation at all), but you get the idea... of course "legitimate" is not the concern here but...well i guess being "more productive"
EndGame2013
if they pay you for clicks, then it most definately goes against their TOS to automate the clicks.
Moderators Melba23 Posted December 3, 2012 Moderators Share Posted December 3, 2012 FlorentinoTuason, just want to find out if that violates their "working agreement" by using automation programsThen I suggest you ask them directly. I am locking this thread as it does not sound at all "legitimate" to me.
