mustin98
Hi, I was wondering how do I know what the "controlID" is in the parameters of the ControlSend ( "title", "text", controlID, "string" [, flag] ) function. Am I able to just use "Edit1" for most things? Also, is there a way to print a varibale such as a string through the keystrokes? Like a Send($somevar). Thanks
Xandy
There is a AutoIt Window Info tool you can use to retrieve controlID from other gui windows.Check it out you'll see what I mean, should be in Start / All Programs / AutoIt v3 / AutoIt Window Info.Just run it and sample the control in question. Also, is there a way to print a varibale such as a string through the keystrokes? Like a Send($somevar).Yep just like you did it, Send($somevar).
