I am Trying to download a file but it isn't saved. #include <IE.au3> MsgBox(4096, "Test", @DocumentsCommonDir, 10) Local $hDownload = InetGet("http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/files/beta/update.dat", @TempDir & "\update.dat", 1, 1) Do Sleep(250) Until InetGetInfo($hDownload, 2) ; Check if the download is complete. Local $nBytes = InetGetInfo($hDownload, 0) InetClose($hDownload) ; Close the handle to release resources. MsgBox(0, "", "Bytes read: " & $nBytes) is necessary give privilegies for write data in the folder? Regards!!!
EndFunc
I've had this problem before. Where are you trying this at? Home? Work? I had a job where Inetget would not work. It must've been something with the firewall/network because it worked on my home computer and other places using the same script. EndFuncAutoIt is the shiznit. I love it. BrewManNH
What is making you think it isn't saving, the value of $nbytes? Isn't that only updated during the download? I don't use InetGetInfo but from the description of the parameter value of 0 it looks like it's the bytes read as it progresses. Not sure on that one, but do you check to see if the file exists after this finishes? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
