How to execute the autoIT files from command prompt and pass parameters

Recommended Posts

I have a function for fileupload which has a parameter filename, and I need to call the function from command prompt and pass the file name.

I tried using AutoIt3.exe "C:\autoIT\fileupload.au3" "C:\autoIT\URL.txt" but I get null value for the parameter.

My Function

Local $filevalue

Func fileupload($file)

MsgBox(0,"window title",WinGetTitle("Open"))

MsgBox(0,"file name",$file)

ControlEnable("Open","","[CLASS:Edit; INSTANCE:1]")

ControlSetText("Open","","[CLASS:Edit; INSTANCE:1]",$file)

ControlClick("Open", "", "&Open")

Please help me

Hi, vikramncs. Check out the Command Line Parameters section of the helpfile. That will show you examples on adding command line params to your compiled script.

Welcome to the AutoIt forum. :)

But please pay attention to where you post in future - you put this into the "Developer Chat" section - I have moved it to the more suitable "General Help" section. ;)
