I need help with StringRegExp: you could tell me a way to take a string all the content before the dot? And also a code for the content after the dot (including the dot). Two codes, in fact.

Ó ABC.log

kiritoproject,

Certainly: :)

$sString = "Ó ABC.log"

$sBeforeDot = StringRegExpReplace($sString, "^.*\\|\..*$", "")

$sAfterDot = StringRegExpReplace($sString, "^.*\.", "")

MsgBox(0, "Result", $sBeforeDot & @CRLF & $sAfterDot)

Use StringSplit to create an array that would contain values before and after the dot.

Edit: I guess M23 is more along the lines of answering the original question (as it does say "Help for StringRegExp")--sorry.

With one regexp:

#include <array.au3>
$string = 'Ó ABC.log'
$aResults = StringRegExp ($string,"(.*)(\..*)",3)
_ArrayDisplay ($aResults)
If UBound($aResults)=2 Then
 ConsoleWrite ("String prior to '.'=[" & $aResults[0] & "]; string after, and including '.'=[" & $aResults[1] & "]" & @CRLF)
EndIf
