TXTechie Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 This is weird. If I use the following code, StringUpper works: $PC = StringUpper(InputBox($ScriptTitle, "Enter the Computer Name:")) However, since I have to check for @error based on the input of the InputBox, I had to move it until after the $PC variable was populated, which I figured would work the same, but it's not. If I use the following code, the contents of the $PC variable does not get converted to UPPERCASE characters: $PC = InputBox($ScriptTitle, "Enter the Computer Name:") If @error = 1 Then Exit StringUpper($PC) Can someone assist me with how I can convert a variable to all UPPERCASE characters? Regards, TX Techie
UEZ Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Try $PC = StringUpper($PC) Br, UEZ Please don't send me any personal message and ask for support! I will not reply! BrewManNH Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 You have to assign the return string of the StringUpper to something before you'll see the results. Return Value Returns the string converted to uppercase. $PC = InputBox($ScriptTitle, "Enter the Computer Name:") If @error = 1 Then Exit $PC = StringUpper($PC) ConsoleWrite($PC & @CRLF) If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
