How can i take screenshots within a range?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

How can i take a screen shot of a region?

I like from corner to another corner and have it auto save all images in a specified directory?

i would figure it would be using color location or image matching.

but no idea where to start this.

Thanks for all the help :)

Well i am trying to make it take images of items in the game diablo 3, and want to set it to a hot key, so i would use _ScreenCapture_CaptureWnd for it?

I don't want to be a party-pooper, but sooner or later someone else, with the power here to back that up with, will be.

You need to read the rules about Game Automation, as that is a banned topic here, with no exceptions.

It doesn't matter what your intent might be or what the Game makers may allow.

It is a one size fits all no go area policy here.

It doesn't even matter what I may or may not think as an individual member here, though I do support the agreed upon general consensus as a rule, if just to aid in consistency and stability and the good name of AutoIt plus the Forum.

Complaints about it fall on deaf ears, and you are better off doing some research after reading the rules, to find out why ... that's if you just can't accept, that is just how it is here.

The number of people banned here, many permanently, is so huge ... so don't take my kind advice lightly.

TheSaint is quite right - please read the Forum rules (the link is also at bottom right of each page) - particularly the bit about not discussing game interaction - before you post again. Thread locked. :naughty:

But welcome to the AutoIt forum - and see you soon with a legitimate question I hope. :)
