Moderators Melba23 Posted March 14, 2013 Moderators Share Posted March 14, 2013 kor, Set the button to the "Default push button" style and you can do without the dummy altogether: ; Includes #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <ButtonConstants.au3> #include <WinAPI.au3> #include <WinAPIEx.au3> #include <APIConstants.au3> #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> _RCON() Func _RCON() Local $hGUI = GUICreate(" Remote Help", 350, 105, -1, -1, BitOR($WS_CAPTION, $WS_SYSMENU), $WS_EX_DLGMODALFRAME) ; create gui Local $hIcon = _WinAPI_GetClassLongEx($hGUI, $GCL_HICON) _WinAPI_DestroyIcon($hIcon) ; destory title menu icon _WinAPI_SetClassLongEx($hGUI, $GCL_HICON, 0) _WinAPI_SetClassLongEx($hGUI, $GCL_HICONSM, 0) GUISetBkColor(0xFFFFFF, $hGUI) ; set background color ;$cGUIPic = GUICtrlCreatePic(@ScriptDir & "\remote-shield.jpg", 15, 10, 80, 98) ;$cGUIPic = GUICtrlCreatePic(@ScriptDir & "\remote.jpg", 7, 25, 90, 46) $cLabel = GUICtrlCreateLabel("Type a computer name or IP address:", 108, 10, 230) GUICtrlSetFont($cLabel, 11, 500, 0, "Segoe UI") $cInput = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 108, 38, 230, 25) GUICtrlSetFont($cInput, 11, 500, 0, "Segoe UI") $cConnect = GUICtrlCreateButton("Connect", 262, 70, 75, 27, $BS_DEFPUSHBUTTON) ; <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< GUISetState(@SW_SHOW, $hGUI) While 1 Switch GUIGetMsg() Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit Case $cConnect ConsoleWrite("test" & @CR) EndSwitch WEnd GUIDelete($hGUI) EndFunc ;==>_RCON All clear? BrewManNH Posted March 14, 2013 Share Posted March 14, 2013 The reason it didn't work with the dummy control was because _WINAPI_GetFocus returns a handle, and GUICtrlCreateButton returns a control ID. So, when you checked to see if the control ID matched the handle, it didn't match so it actioned the dummy control, even though the button had already been actioned. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
