Exe file executes OK from Autoit but fails when running in a CMD prompt

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

I'm running this very simple program,, I want it to hold until I run Notepad:

Opt("WinTitleMatchMode", 2) ;1=start, 2=subStr, 3=exact, 4=advanced, -1 to -4=Nocase

ConsoleWrite("before calling the WaitWinActive" & @CRLF)

WinWaitActive("[CLASS:Notepad]")

ConsoleWrite("after WaitwinActive" & @CRLF)

If I compile and run it from Autoit Editor selecting the Tab Tools->Build and then Go, it executes correctly.

If I open a DOS Command Prompt, go to the folder where I have it compiled to an .exe file and run it, it just exits without waiting for the notepad.

Do you have any clue?

Cheers,

David
