mahaju
Is it possible to detect if the shutdown command has been issued, then cancel it using Autoit (or anything else for that matter) ? Alternatively, is it possible to tweak the registry to make windows display a shutdown timer whenever the shutdown command gets issued, so that we get some to get it disabled? Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted May 2, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 2, 2013 This question has been asked a couple of times in the past. You'll pick up a number of posts on the topic if you search shutdown. One that comes immediately to mind has an example from Jos - it deals with going into hibernate, but I believe the principle is the same.Regarding changing the shutdown behavior, the only way I know to do so is to script the bahavior you want. You can then place the shortcut for your script on the start menu, so users click on that to shut down rather than the normal shut down button. "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind.
