<Resolved>Had problem with multiple GUI

Recommended Posts

I had some problem with using multiple GUI. When i opened the second GUI and close it, the main GUI seems to be not responding.

When I start the code and click on the "MsgBox" button, it will bring up the MsgBox then close. Everything appear to be okay then click on the "2nd GUI" button which will bring up the second GUI then I click close or the exit button to close the second GUI where it bring me back to first GUI. The first GUI then will become not responding, just click at the "MsgBox" button and it won't work. Not sure how to get this work, please help.

I used GUISetStat(@SW_HIDE) on the second GUI exit button does not help as well.

Here some example:

#include <ButtonConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form=
$Form1 = GUICreate("Test", 145, 156, Default, Default)
$MsgBox = GUICtrlCreateButton("MsgBox", 16, 16, 113, 33)
$GUI = GUICtrlCreateButton("2nd GUI", 16, 64, 113, 33)
$Exit = GUICtrlCreateButton("Exit", 16, 112, 113, 33)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
#EndRegion ### END Koda GUI section ###

While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit

        Case $MsgBox
            Msgbox(64,"Test Box","Hello World")
        Case $GUI
            GUI2()
        Case $Exit
            Exit
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Func GUI2()
#Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form=
$Form2 = GUICreate("Second GUI", 145, 156, 400, -1)
$Button4 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Close", 16, 112, 113, 33)
GUICtrlCreateLabel("Second GUI",20,20)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
#EndRegion ### END Koda GUI section ###

While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $Button4
            GUIDelete()
    EndSwitch
WEnd

EndFunc

AaronOoi,

Have you read the Managing Multiple GUIs tutorial in the Wiki? If not I would do so now. ;)

Come back if you still have problems. :)

#Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form=
$Form1 = GUICreate("Test", 145, 156, Default, Default)
$MsgBox = GUICtrlCreateButton("MsgBox", 16, 16, 113, 33)
$GUI = GUICtrlCreateButton("2nd GUI", 16, 64, 113, 33)
$Exit = GUICtrlCreateButton("Exit", 16, 112, 113, 33)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
#EndRegion ### END Koda GUI section ###

While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit

        Case $MsgBox
            Msgbox(64,"Test Box","Hello World")
        Case $GUI
            GUISetState(@SW_DISABLE, $Form1)
            GUI2()
            GUISetState(@SW_ENABLE, $Form1)
            GUISetState(@SW_RESTORE,$Form1)
        Case $Exit
            Exit
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Func GUI2()
#Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form=
$Form2 = GUICreate("Second GUI", 145, 156, 400, -1)
$Button4 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Close", 16, 112, 113, 33)
GUICtrlCreateLabel("Second GUI",20,20)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
#EndRegion ### END Koda GUI section ###

While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            GUIDelete($Form2)
                 ExitLoop

        Case $Button4
                GUIDelete($Form2)
