Iznogoud
I created a really simple script wich i have compiled with the Aut2Exe to an .exe file with the following options: /in for the .au3 file offcourse /out for the .exe output file /icon for the icon i wanted to use /x86 for the default 32-bit environment /nopack The last one "/nopack" was the one i used before because if you dont use the UPX compression, it doesn't get detected as a virus. The weird thing is that i have executed the command line and uploaded the .exe file to a webpage and when i download / execute this file i receive this error / warning: file.exe is not downloaded often and is possible harmfull for your computer How can i remove / prevent this warning to popup? Moderators Melba23 Posted June 18, 2013 Moderators Share Posted June 18, 2013 Iznogoud,That sounds like the MS IE "nanny" dialog announcing that the file is not on its whitelist - it is nothing to do with AutoIt. I get the same when, for example, I download executable/DLL files from the SciTE4AutoIt3 Beta repository - MS have no idea that they are perfectly clean files as they do not know (and hence trust) Jos. In this case as it is your own file, you can ignore the warning - just as I do when downloading Jos' latest tweaks. Iznogoud
You know that, i know that, but normal users don't know that. Is there anyway to compile the script as before? I made an identical script and compiled it 2 years ago and that one isn't marked as harmfull.
Moderators Melba23 Posted June 18, 2013 Moderators Share Posted June 18, 2013 Iznogoud,Over those years the earlier file has perhaps been downloaded so often that it is now on the whitelist. But I say again - this is not an AutoIt problem, it happens to all files that could be suspicious until they are proved clean. Perhaps you should ask MS how to get your file "whitelisted". BrewManNH
Buy a code signature and digitally sign your exe and you will probably eliminate the problems. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
