hi, im trying to implement a shell.explorer object in my application to embed a folder view of a specific directory with thumbnail view. however, i am unable to keep the 'thumbnail preview' setting when using $var.navigate(), it simply returns to the original 'large icons' setting. any help would be appreciated. :whistle:

Suggest that you post some sample code. The likelyhood that anyone has already done exactly what you are trying to do is close to zero. The likelyhood that someone else wants to look at your code, try to help you and learn something along the way is pretty high around here.

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

$_io = ObjCreate("Shell.Explorer.2")
$_ax = GUICtrlCreateObj($_io, 10, 235, 335, 400)

With $_io
       .Offline = 1
       .Navigate("T:\Acquire\192")
       .Visible = 1
EndWith

thats whats relevant anyway, didnt post the rest of the code since it has nothing to do with what im actually trying to accomplish. havent figured out any other methods/properties that you can use with the shell.explorer object, found no useful info on msdn, so if anyone knows how to possible modify the view attributes such as changing from 'list' to 'details' to 'thumbnails' please post.
