satanttin
Hello, I was trying to make a form people can fill in and automaticly send me an email with the details. So i first googled how to send mail to do this. i came up with: #include <Inet.au3> Local $s_SmtpServer = "smtp.gmail.com" Local $s_FromName = "My Name" Local $s_FromAddress = "From eMail Address" Local $s_ToAddress = "To eMail Address" Local $s_Subject = "My Test UDF" Local $as_Body[2] $as_Body[0] = "Testing the new email udf" $as_Body[1] = "Second Line" Local $Response = _INetSmtpMail($s_SmtpServer, $s_FromName, $s_FromAddress, $s_ToAddress, $s_Subject, $as_Body) Local $err = @error If $Response = 1 Then MsgBox(0, "Success!", "Mail sent") Else MsgBox(0, "Error!", "Mail failed with error code " & $err) EndIf And my question is does someone test this for me? because i think work has blocked port 25? atleast i read something on autoitforum that had same problem and he fixed it because he said firewall has blocked it? i get an error code 4 meaning can't create a socket or something. anyways if someone can test it i will be very thankfull^^ else i can try it whe i get home so in 9 hours orsoxD Greetz
BrewManNH
You can't use _INetSmtpMail with Google, as it won't allow you to authenticate with the server. You should use >this one instead that does allow you to use it with GMail, and other mail providers. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
