ocr fixed region

Hello, what i can use to read some text from a fixed and small region from my screen? I wish to put the text in a variabile and use it after.

What are you trying to read? A web page,  application, or ?

OCR can be a complicated process, and in most cases,  there are easier ways to obtain the information you seek.

is it a "selectable" text (copy paste possible) or an image?

Is an image.

I tried testracre ocr but dont work, i dont know why.

I have modi instalated and if i use it to scan and ocr an image is working.

OCR is the right direction, and Tesseract is a wonderful tool.

Try providing an image that your having troubles reading, along with a reproducer script of where you are having problems, and a brief description of what errors your getting. With this information, it will be much easier helping you find a solution.
