Winactivate problem

Recommended Posts

Leopardfist

I have not used Autoit for a few years, so this may be an issue where I am doing something wrong.

I started my script out with a simple Winactivate("Final Fantasy")

then a Winwaitactive("Final Fantasy")

It gets stuck there, waiting on the window to become active. The winactivate never activates my Final Fantasy window. Am I doing something wrong? My Final Fantasy game iwndow is in windowed mode, and this is how I always id it before with other games.

Thanks for any assistance

oh yeah, in that script I have it done like Winactivate("Final Fantasy", "") but I tried it without the optional text quotes as well.  Was just trying something different :(

Not discussing game automations, asking why winactivate isnt working for me. The ONLY thing about my post that has to do with gaming is the NAME of the window in my example.

You can use AutoIT Window Info application to get the window details information, and then use this like this:

Opt("WinTitleMatchMode", 2)
WinWaitActive("[TITLE:Final Fantasy]")

or combine it using CLASS like this:

Opt("WinTitleMatchMode", 2)
WinWaitActive("[TITLE:Final Fantasy; CLASS:#32770]")

Where TITLE and CLASS you get from AutoIT Window Info application

If you read the rules properly, you will find that there is NO exception.

Mention manipulation of any Game element at all (even just a window), and your topic is doomed to being locked when a MOD notices it.

You are lucky to have got what you've got so far, with michaelslamet being indiscreet.
