Using %~dp0 in script...

So, I need to use the Windows environment variable %~dp0 within an AutoIt script. However, I just can't seem to figure out how to use quotes within the command.

The process starts in a batch file, launches the AutoIt script, then returns to the batch file...

BATCH FILE:

...
set current=%~dp0
"%current%fldr1\installer.exe"
...

AUTOIT SCRIPT:

...
local $current = envget("current")
Run(@ComSpec & " /c" & 'start "Installer" /b /high /wait $current & "fldr1\setup.exe" -silent -force -nowait -nowelcome -formatfile $current & "fldr2\custom.format.file.fmt"',"",@SW_HIDE)
...

I've tried multiple configurations with quote marks around the above $current variable declaration...
" & $current & "
"" & $current & "
"" & $current & ""
""" & $current & ""
""" & $current & """
etc...

I have to have the $current variable within quotes because the path contains spaces. I'm obviously missing something and/or doing something wrong. Any suggestions? I hope this makes sense. Thank you in advance!

Wow. Finally figured it out.

Here's what I had...

Run(@ComSpec & " /c" & 'start "Installer" /b /high /wait $current & "fldr1\setup.exe" -silent -force -nowait -nowelcome -formatfile $current & "fldr2\custom.format.file.fmt"',"",@SW_HIDE)

Here's what appears to work...

Run(@ComSpec & " /c" & 'start "Installer" /b /high /wait ' & '"' & $current & 'fldr1\setup.exe" -silent -force -nowait -nowelcome -formatfile ' & '"' & $current & 'fldr2\custom.format.file.fmt"',"",@SW_HIDE)

Way too many quotes!!!

I would do it like this, because you don't need @Comspec, and you more than likely don't need to use start at all.

RunWait('"' & $current & 'fldr1\setup.exe" -silent -force -nowait -nowelcome -formatfile ' & '"' & $current & 'fldr2\custom.format.file.fmt"')

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Unfortunately, the initial installer spawns other processes that AutoIt doesn't "see." However, when I utilize the start.../wait process, the installer successfully waits for all spawned children process prior to exiting...then the rest of my VBS continues and exits properly. If I don't use the start.../wait, then AutoIt releases the initial installer as soon as it spawns said children process and the rest of my VBS (requires the aforementioned hidden processes to have already completed their tasks) fails. Thanx.
