Need a little help with a script.

Recommended Posts

Hello. What I am trying to do is force the script to exit after a certain amount of time, but not if 2 certain functions are currently being used.

    Func _Test()
    If mainRun1() Then
    sleep(random(8000,9000))
    Exit
    If TimerDiff($iBegin) > 5 * 1000 Then
    Exit
    EndIf
    EndIf
    EndFunc

What this is doing is not actually exiting the script, but calling the function mainRun1 and executing it causing an endless loop of that function.

What I need it to do is check to see if the function mainRun1 is currently running before checking the timer to Global $iBegin = TimerInit()

then if the function is running, sleep for a few seconds like I have above, then close the script, OR, if the function is not currently running,

then exit anyway.

Thanks for any help in advance.

laughsitup2005,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum. :)

Something like this perhaps?

; Flag for exit required
Global $fQuit = False

HotKeySet("a", "mainRun1")
HotKeySet("q", "_Quit")

While 1
    Sleep(10)
    ; Check flag
    If $fQuit Then
        ConsoleWrite("Exiting" & @CRLF)
        Exit
    EndIf
WEnd

Func mainRun1()
    ConsoleWrite("Starting mainRun1" & @CRLF)
    Sleep(10000)
    ConsoleWrite("Ending mainRun1" & @CRLF)
EndFunc

Func _Quit()
    ConsoleWrite("Exit requested" & @CRLF)
    ; Set flag
    $fQuit = True
EndFunc
Any use? :)

laughsitup2005,

Unfortunately you appear to have missed the Forum rules on your way in. Please read them now (there is also a link at bottom right of each page) - particularly the bit about not discussing game automation - and then you will understand why you will get no help and this thread will now be locked. :naughty:
