terrypin Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) I saw recommendations for AutoIt-1-2-3 as a good tutorial for beginners. But I'm confused about how to use it. I downloaded the ZIP and uncompressed it to the folder Autoit_123. What then? There was a single EXE in the folder called Autoit-123-Demo26.exe. Demo26? Why not Demo1? And no Readme.txt? Anyway I ran that. But it begins by apparently asking me to download at least two things I have already installed (AutoIt and SciTE). Presumably I can skip those, but why do I also need a beta version? Won't that cause confusion? Perhaps there is an alternative tutorial that is more intuitive to use please? -- Terry, East Grinstead, UK Edited September 28, 2013 by terrypin
Moderators Melba23 Posted September 28, 2013 Moderators Posted September 28, 2013 terrypinmI always recommend reading the Help file (at least the first few sections - Using AutoIt, Tutorials and the first couple of References) as this will help you enormously. You should also look at this excellent tutorial - you will find other tutorials in the Wiki (the link is at the top of the page).
