Get SQL output in a file

Hi,

I wanted to make a script, that connects to a sql server ( USES ODBC ) ..ru na query and get the output of that query in a text file (or even an excel file) .. I did search the forum for similar scripts ..but i couldnt find one... I dont want any user intervention when the script is run...just the output to be stored ina excel file.

In actuality... Msquery is used to run the queries (using a defined ODBC source ) on a remote SQL server and the output, after being displayed is copied to the clipboard and then to excel.

I am poor in SQl and the data base stuff..

can anyone help ?
