Please I need help. I am trying to open a excel add-in file with autoit bit. Any time I run the exe, I get the error  {$oAddIn = $oExcel.AddIns.Add($sAddIn)^ERROR}

 

$sAddIn ="C:UsersDocumentsiMacrosMacrosTest Consolidator v8.xlam" ;
$oExcel = ObjCreate("Excel.Application")   
$oExcel.Visible=1 
$oExcel.WorkBooks.Add 
;okkkk
$oAddIn = $oExcel.AddIns.Add($sAddIn)
$oAddIn.Installed = False
Sleep(5000)
$oExcel.Quit
Exit
 
Please help.

Is the path to your addin set correctly? What is the complete output in the SciTE output pane when you run your script?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

You have the variable inside quotes, you're trying to .Add a string containing $sAddin, and not the value of $sAddin.
