unnamedplayer
Hi all, Strange issue I am hoping someone might have an answer to. I am using Microsoft's Deployment Toolkit to deploy workstation images and install our applications. Unfortunately some of these apps I am installing do not have unattended install options so I have automated these by using AutoIt to basically click Next, Next, Next through the install wizard. Everything works beautifully when I do these installs. Just recently I decided to integrate UVNC in my deployment process so I could remote in and control a machine while it was in the middle of deployment. I have noticed however, that when I connect with VNC, my AutoIt scripts no longer send the key inputs like they used to. I am wondering if anyone else has tried something similar and has seen the same results and would also like to inquire if anyone has any ideas as to what could be causing this? Anyone have any ideas? Appreciate the feedback!
BrewManNH
Are you blocking keyboard and mouse input when you remote in? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Bert
AND... are you running the scripts on the viewer PC while the install runs on the PC you remoted into? If yes, well, you can't do that. You have to run the script from the PC you are doing the install on. The Vollatran project My blog: http://www.vollysinterestingshit.com/
unnamedplayer
Hi, thanks for the replies. I am not blocking keyboard and mouse inputs. I know VNC has the option to block inputs from the viewer and from remote machine. I have not disabled either. Yes the AutoIt scripts are running on the machine that the programs are being installed on.
