Look up FileReadLine, _FileReadToArray, FileOpen, FileClose. Read the examples, read the related functions and play with them all. Try writing some AutoIt to do something and when you have a problem with your script that is the best time to ask for help, definitely not before. Serial port communications UDF Includes functions for binary transmission and reception.printing UDF Useful for graphs, forms, labels, reports etc.Add User Call Tips to SciTE for functions in UDFs not included with AutoIt and for your own scripts.Functions with parameters in OnEvent mode and for Hot Keys One function replaces GuiSetOnEvent, GuiCtrlSetOnEvent and HotKeySet.UDF IsConnected2 for notification of status of connected state of many urls or IPs, without slowing the script. martin
Any suggestions please. Yes, but they are the same as my first suggestions. You need to open the file, read the lines, examine each line to see if it has the item you want, then read the item value, read other items as needed then close the file. You need to take the time to understand the functions I suggested and then try to do someting with them. Then there will be plenty of people willing to help with any problems. Generally, we are not at all good at doing it for you here.
