Where exactly do i start from i'm completelynew to scripting

Welcome to the AutoIt forum. :)

Reading the Help file (at least the first few sections - Using AutoIt, Tutorials and the first couple of References) will help you enormously. You should also look at this excellent tutorial - you will find other tutorials in the Wiki (the link is at the top of the page). There are even video tutorials on YouTube if you prefer watching to reading. And we are here to answer questions - although we do ask that you search the Help file and the forum thoroughly first. ;)

I'd say read up on variables and functions. How to pass data from one function to the next. Read up on loops and different types of loop statements. Then read up on arrays then gui's. Don't be afraid to look over the list of built in functions. I'm still a rookie myself but those are for sure the basics to get rolling. When I need help I Google "autoit" then what I'm trying to accomplish.
