shocko Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Hi guys, New to this very cool software. I have some pesky old software I'd like to remove but it isn't .msi based and requires several user inputs to remove. i have a working AutoIT .exe but the problem is, the uninstall needs to run under an admin account. I have a deployment software I use but it runs under the system account. When I run AutoIT under the system account the .exe doesn't progress
Wruck Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 That is likely because the deployment software is running as a background process - thus never allowing for user input. Are there arguments that you can add to your uninstall string to bypass?

Solution jdelaney Posted December 11, 2013 Solution Posted December 11, 2013 (edited) I'm assuming by the 'system' account, you mean User Session=0 (which is the SYSTEM user...also where services run..., which runs behind user sessions, and is outside of the windows desktop environment). If that is the case, make sure you consider this (related with locked stations as well): http://www.autoitscript.com/wiki/FAQ#Why_doesn.27t_my_script_work_on_a_locked_workstation.3F Edited December 11, 2013 by jdelaney IEbyXPATH-Grab IE DOM objects by XPATH IEscriptRecord-Makings of an IE script recorder ExcelFromXML-Create Excel docs without excel installed GetAllWindowControls-Output all control data on a given window.
