drego
Does anyone have an example of a fully functional text editor in autoit using GUICtrlRichEdit or otherwise that gives the user all formatting and other options? Thanks Edited February 22, 2014 by drego

Moderators Melba23 Posted February 22, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 22, 2014 drego,There have been a number of AutoIt-coded editors, but none I have seen really match editors easily available as freeware and coded in other languages. Why the desire for an AutoIt editor in particular? drego
I need a rich text editor embedded as part of my autoit application so users can store rich text data using the app.
drego
Try it, you might like it! I have found some examples like betapad but nothing intended for someone like me to have a simple way of just embedding a rich text editor into an exisitng app and monitoring the content in it. I don't want a full application like betapad. I was hoping for a simple example of an embedded rich text editor (hopefully that supports inserting images) where I can embed it and place it with some code and be able to monitor it's contents via some function or variable so I can save the content periodically. I don't want to wade through a full solution like betapad where a whole file menu and encryption system and text to speech and all this has been created. edit: can't even get betapad to compile. I posted in it's thread (which is old). Edited February 22, 2014 by drego
