Detecting sound output

Recommended Posts

Is there any functions currently available to have AutoIT detect a specific sound file being played/output?

I did some Googling around and couldn't find any functions, so I figured maybe yall would know.

hello Uncreative, welcome to AutoIt and to the forum!

in concept, two methods i can think of:

1) call the winmm.dll (Windows MultiMedia DLL), similar to demonstrated here:

MSDN ref. here:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd743586(v=vs.85).aspx

2) monitor the specific sound file to detect when it is being accessed. try this:

'?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

Thanks, I'll check these to see if they work for what I'm thinking of.

#2 sounds promising.
