2Radon Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 When I press a button I want to run a script, but nothing I've yet found really did that. Furthermore, when compiled as an exe, that needs to still work... So I suppose I just want to run an executable file with 'Run'?
Palestinian Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 If the script is a standalone exe then yes you can simply call the Run function
Paramjeet Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Try This #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> $Form1 = GUICreate("Run App", 257, 143, 302, 218) GUISetIcon("D:\006.ico") $Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("&Run", 80, 96, 75, 25) GUICtrlSetFont(-1, 8, 800, 0, "MS Sans Serif") $Label1 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("App Name", 8, 24, 56, 17) GUICtrlSetFont(-1, 8, 800, 0, "MS Sans Serif") GUICtrlCreateInput("", 64, 24, 185, 21) GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) While 1 $nMsg = GUIGetMsg() Select Case $nMsg = $Button1 $appPath = ControlGetText("Run App","","[CLASS:Edit; INSTANCE:1]") Run($appPath) Case $nMsg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit EndSelect WEnd
jdelaney Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) "Command Line Parameters" in the helpfile If you are calling an autoit script: Form1: AutoIt3.exe [/ErrorStdOut] [/AutoIt3ExecuteScript] file [params ...] Execute an AutoIt3 Script File if you are calling an autoit exe: Form2: Compiled.exe [/ErrorStdOut] [params ...] Execute an compiled AutoIt3 Script File produced with Aut2Exe. lots more, go to helpfile. edit: just noticed a grammar issue in the helpfile Edited April 8, 2014 by jdelaney IEbyXPATH-Grab IE DOM objects by XPATH IEscriptRecord-Makings of an IE script recorder ExcelFromXML-Create Excel docs without excel installed GetAllWindowControls-Output all control data on a given window.
BrewManNH Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 A note about Form 1 above, if you use that method (running a script from a compiled script) the compiled script MUST have the following in it. #pragma compile(AutoItExecuteAllowed, true) If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
