What is changed with hex

9 posts in this topic

I have a lot of programs wich are made in autoit 3.3.8.1
Today I've try'd to update to 3.3.10.2 a few routines won't work anymore so I've decided to stay at 3.3.8.1
With version 3.3.10.2 I manged to readout a registerkey and put it trough hex and I get these numbers:
decimal 329388415 (hex 54AFFF) version 3.3.10.2 get the good hex code
decimal 329388415 (hex E00000) version 3.3.8.1 get some strange hex code

Is there a solution for it so that I can stil use the 3.3.8.1 version?

This is a piece of the code I use.
$colorhex = "0x"
$pixvar = Hex(RegRead("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM", "ColorizationColor"),6)
$colorhex = $colorhex & $pixvar
GUISetBkColor($colorhex, $wpopgui)

Have you tried reading the ChangeLog?

I've tryd looking in the change logs but I don't know which version it's changed.

And If I can find it it's the question I can solved it.

I've allready spend much time figuur out what the problem is.

So I've hoped that someone know how to solved it.

What do you need in 3.3.8.1 that isn't available in 3.3.10.x? Seeing as how the latest version gives you the right answer?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

@brewmannh,

I have a lot of programs which doesn't work correct if I switch to the latest version I have to debug all those programs.

It will take me a lot of time.

I think (and hope) it's small thing for those autoit guru's and it will make me very happy!

I wonder how you came up with these hex values, since ConsoleWrite(Hex(329388415) & @LF) gives the (correct) answer 13A2117F.

ConsoleWrite(Hex(329388415) & @LF)
ConsoleWrite(0x54AFFF & @LF)
ConsoleWrite(0xE00000 & @LF)

Maybe you're reading the wrong information, because 329388415 is not 54AFFF in hex.

@BrewManNH,

Mabey I'am doing it totaly wrong but....

I read this registerkey (This key is the color code for the background from the active title bar from a window (in win8))

I want to set the background from a gui the same color.

With the piece of code and with the newest version (3.3.10.2) of autoit it al works fine.

I noticed a few other routines doesn't work anymore so i've decided to go back to 3.3.8.1 and there the code for the color wont work anymore.

The only thing I can see between these two version that the return code from hex are different (with hex and lengt paramter on 6).

There must be something changed between these version.
