Crome_BAD Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Hey guys, i have a big presentation tomorrow and its based on a Microsoft Powerpoint. Well, my laptop will be connected to a projector and the Fn (Function key) and F5 needs to be pressed 2 times..... My Problem: I was looking through the Send() key list, and i dont see anything about a Fn key.... Any ideas? Crome
MSLx Fanboy Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 From the helpfile on Send(): Most laptop computer keyboards have a special Fn key. This key cannot be simulated. Sorry Writing AutoIt scripts since _DateAdd("d", -2, _NowCalcDate())
Crome_BAD Posted September 23, 2005 Author Posted September 23, 2005 Alright, thank you. It was worth the try
jefhal Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 the Fn (Function key) and F5 needs to be pressed 2 times.....Fn-F8 switches from LCD to external monitor; F5 starts the Powerpoint presentation; What does Fn-F5 do? Can't it be duplicated via the Powerpoint menus? ...by the way, it's pronounced: "JIF"... Bob Berry --- inventor of the GIF format
MSLx Fanboy Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 (edited) Usually, at least on Dell laptops, it refreshes the output between the embedded connection to the LCD screen and VGA output port. I always have to 'play' with that special keyset when doing a presentation with an projector/Smart Board...
