prevent script from being closed by another process

Recommended Posts

I have a script that I use for repairing PC's and Rogue Killer pre-scan and ADW cleaner force close my script.  I noticed that there are other programs these tools do not close.  How can I make my script non-closable by a process killer such as task kill.exe, Rogue Killer, or ADW cleaner ?  Creating it as a system service is likely not possible, because the program I have has a GUI which requires user interaction.  Any help would be appreciated.  Currently I call the script to reopen with a batch file but it is quite annoying.

THanks !  !

hello piggynuts, welcome to AutoIt and to the forum!

your issue is not AutoIt-specific, the solution would be of a more general nature. assuming you have the permissions to do so,

1) add your script to the exclusion list of these tools.

- or -

2) shut down these tools before running your script.

yo DO NOT want to make your script persistent - that may make it unstoppable even by yourself, and will justly trigger a more violent behavior on the security tools part.

First, welcome to the AutoIt forums. :)

However, for pretty obvious reasons, this is not a subject we are prepared to discuss here - thread locked. ;)
