PNG background disabled controls

Recommended Posts

As a finishing touch to a GUI, I dropped in a full-size PNG background image, using this sequence from one of the example files:

$hGUI = GUICreate("Utility", 1050, 700, -1, -1 )

$himg=_GDIPlus_ImageLoadFromFile("D:\Au3 Scripts\My Scripts\Background.png")

$pic=GUICtrlCreatePic("", 0, 0, 1050, 700)

The image displays fine ... and all my controls are on top of it.  But none of them operate.  If I comment out these lines, everything works.

What simple instruction have I left out?

Thanks in advance for assistance with this.

If a picture is set as a background picture the other controls will overlap, so it is important to disable the pic control: GUICtrlSetState(-1, $GUI_DISABLE).

From the help file, it might apply in your case.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
