(question)that line autoit write to Acknowledge that there are 3 folders and not 4

Recommended Posts

I am automating a task folders, then imagine that there are 3 folders in windows 7, what I need is that autoit Acknowledge that there are three folders and not four, which line should I use?

That is, you open the first folder, and the process is finished, open the second, and the process ends, and the same with the third, but after Acknowledge that there is not a fourth folder and then continue with another action.

astronaut,

Welcome to the AutoIt forums. :)

I would use _FileListToArray to get the folders into an array and then loop through the array - when you reach the end of the array there are no more folders to process and you can move on. That way the script will work for any number of folders. :)

I use a program to open many images which are within subfolders which in turn are in folders, which, in turn belong to a parent folder, so:

FOLDER MOTHER
          Folder A
              subfolder A1
                    image.jpg
              subfolder A2
                    image.jpg
          Folder B
              subfolder B1
                    image.jpg
              subfolder B2
                    image.jpg
              subfolder B3
                    image.jpg
              subfolder B4
                    image.jpg
              subfolder B5
                    image.jpg
          Folder C
              subfolder C1
                    image.jpg

I need to automate a process by which the program by opening each subfolder fence A1, A2, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, C1,etc, but when doing this example after the subfolder A2 knows that there is not subfolder  A3 ,then continue on subfolder B1, and then know that there is not subfolder B6, and  continue on subfolder C1 .In short,, differentiate whether within folders A, B, C, etc. There subfolders to open or not .

astronaut,

Then you need to use _FileListToArrayRec which will list all the subfolders on the path for you. :)
