Can't send text to textarea on vBulletin forum

Recommended Posts

I want to text some message into textarea on vBulletin forum. I usually use _IEGetObjByName, _IEFormElementSetValue to do it.

After view this page's source I find the textarea is a iframe, therefore I use _IEBodyWriteHTML to text message but unsuccess.

What's mistake in this case?

#include <IE.au3>
$Url = 'http://sinhvienit.net/forum/loi-loading-khi-sua-bai-viet.345331.html'
$oIE = _IECreate($Url,1)
$oForm = _IEFormGetObjByName ($oIE, "vbform")
$oFrame = _IEFrameGetCollection($oForm,0) ; this page only has 1 frame
_IEBodyWriteHTML($oFrame,"Hello world! We text this message with Autoit")

By "sold" I assume you mean solved.

Yes, it was quite easy.

1.  I downloaded debugbar: http://www.debugbar.com/

2.  I took the time (only an hour or so, much less than 14 days) and studied the _IE* functions in the help file

3.  I scratched my head for a second, and I was about to post my code for help, but then I realized, the code I was going to post, was just me copying and pasting out of something and was absolutely irrelevant to what I was actually trying to accomplish.  So rather than try to pretend I actually did something to help myself, I studied a little bit more.

4.  I used what I learned from those examples, and in 7 lines of code easily logged in.

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
