Since the beginning of GUI functions, GuiCtrlCreatePic("",...) will always failed.

Some people think we can change this behavior without affecting existing script.

Can you comment if we can do it?

If it's possible to change the picture associated with such a control then I don't see any reason why a 'blank' control can't be supported.

But then I really don't have much experience with AutoIt GUI building.

GUICtrlCreatePic/Icon without specifying an image?

Yes, I'm a supporter of this idea, because sometimes can be useful. ;)

> Some comments about this...(Post related)

I was for sure having your proposal in mind.

I just want to simplify with no display at all if it does break any script or at least have the incompatibilty accepted

It is not enough to say I like it. The incompatibility issue must be argumented.

I know your proposal was safe because something will be displayed

If a picture is not supplied (e.g. "") I suppose we could use a default height /width or specified height and width and fill it with an empty CreateCompatibleBMP or something of that sort. right? I will go looky...

Lar.

Right..that sounds fine. thxs. ;)

Here could be applied the case of using the default keyword.

At first I was like, "wahhh" to this idea. But now I'm in favor. Josbe serves a good point.

Ps,

Josbe, I love the colors on your avatar, it always is the first thing I look at because it's a good eye catcher. Good eye catcher = good work ! Keep it up ;)

Thanks Larry I like no oversize as an internal BMP to AUtoIt size. I will do something for 3.1.1.84 ;)
