How to make a bot go around obstacles?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to make a bot for a MMORPG called Dofus. When in combat mode you are placed in a grid. In this grid there is the player, monsters and obstacles.

What I'm trying to do is make the player go to the cell next to the monster. I'm already able to do this but the problem is when there is obstacles in his way he can't get to the monster. The bot tries to go *through* the obstacles over and over again. How could I make the player go around the obstacles?

This is the code I have which is working perfectly if there is no obstacles in the way.

<snip>

 More code can be added if needed.
What is the logic to make this work?

phil652,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum.

Unfortunately you appear to have missed the Forum rules on your way in. Please read them now - particularly the bit about not discussing game automation - and then you will understand why you will get no help and this thread will now be locked.

See you soon with a legitimate question I hope.
