Select a file from windows explorer to copy to clipboard.

Recommended Posts

I am new to AutoIt and the Forum. I have a question about selecting a file in windows explorer. I am able to use FileFindFirstFile with a wildcard to locate the file. I simply want to open Windows Explorer and find the file and select it so I can copy it to the clipboard. I can get the Explorer open to the correct directory but am not sure how to put it all together. I have searched all around and have not been able to find what I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

I was able to figure it out using /Select

Run("C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE /Select, /n,/e," & $Path & $file )
