Writing to STDOUT from compiled exe?

Recommended Posts

LMenard

Folks, I have created my first AutoIt script and it is successfully driving the installer I am trying to test.

Now I want to be able to run this compiled exe from a perl script and capture success/fail indicators in perl for further reporting.

I can see how to generate pass/fail messages in MsgBoxes, but not how to send them to STDOUT.

Some functions such as ConsoleWrite() say that they do write to STDOUT, but it looks like it assumes you are running this executable within an editor that supports capturing STDOUT.

Is there a way to capture STDOUT when an exe is launched by command line?

Thanks.
