satanico64 Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Hi community !today, a small question:I 've just solved a problem in my code but i does'nt understand why this work:If GUICtrlRead($Combo_SFP1) <> "AUCUN" Thenand this does'nt work:If not GUICtrlRead($Combo_SFP1) == "AUCUN" Then Thanks for your answer.Nicolas.
AspirinJunkie Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 what's the value of this GuiCtrlRead()?Keep in mind that you use the "=="-Operator. This leads to case sensitive comparison. This means if your GuiCtrlRead has the value "AuCUN" it would'nt be equal with the "=="-Operator.
satanico64 Posted October 1, 2015 Author Posted October 1, 2015 hi,i know that, and furthermore it would have match this:If not GUICtrlRead($Combo_SFP1) == "AUCUN" Then
BrewManNH Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Try thisIf not (GUICtrlRead($Combo_SFP1) == "AUCUN") ThenOperator precedence makes the original line read like Not GUICtrlRead($combo_sfp1)You then do a comparison of the result of the first one, which is true or false depending on what's in the combo, to AUCUN If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. satanico64 Posted October 1, 2015 Author Posted October 1, 2015 hi,do you mean that it's likeIf not (GUICtrlRead($Combo_SFP1) == "AUCUN") Thenis equal toif ( not (GUICtrlRead($Combo_SFP1) ) == "AUCUN" ) thenso it means if ( true /false ) == "AUCUN" then
satanico64 Posted October 1, 2015 Author Posted October 1, 2015 (edited) Well it's ok, i've just tested. As you said:This is not correct:If not GUICtrlRead($Combo_SFP1) == "AUCUN" Thenand this is correct:If Not ( GUICtrlRead($Combo_SFP1) == "AUCUN" ) ThenYou were totally right. It's the operator precedence. https://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs/intro/lang_operators.htm Thanks a lot.Nicolas. Edited October 1, 2015 by satanico64 Replaced 'elseif' by 'if' in my example.
