How do you send multiple keys? I've tried many suggested ways but i'm at a dead end.

Recommended Posts

OK so I'm pulling hair out by the roots, at my wits end here and I had to create a forum account just to ask this question, but here goes.

I'm trying to automate a repetitive task in a game that runs in a gameboy advanced emulator. I'm trying to:

1.Press and hold L

2.Press A

3.Release L

4.Press A

Steps 1-3 is required to get an item out of my inventory without having to access the inventory screen. And step 4 is to interact with that item.

Here's what I've tried (don't mind syntax, i just copied it from failed experiments, I just want to know if this is the right logic)

1

        Send("{l down}")
        Sleep(250)
        Send("{a}")
        Sleep(150)
        Send("{l up}")
        Sleep(500)
        Send("{a}")
        Sleep(500)

2

    Opt("SendKeyDelay", 600)
    Send("{l down}{a}{l up}")
    Sleep(1000)
    Send("{a}")
    Sleep(1000)

3

    ;Send("{l down}")
    ;Send("{a}")
    ;Send("{l up}")

4

    ;Send("{l}")
    ;Send("{a}")
    ;sleep(500)
    ;Send("{a}")
    ;Sleep(500)

5

;Send("{la}")

 unSkilledUser1234,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum.

Unfortunately you appear to have missed the Forum rules on your way in. Please read them now - particularly the bit about not discussing game automation - and then you will understand why you will get no help and this thread will now be locked.

See you soon with a legitimate question I hope.
