I have had a look at the available ftp functions in the help file but I can't see an obvious way to do what I would like to do.

Basically what I want is to check a file on 1 server is more up to date than a file on another server using the ftp functions.

What I'm thinking is the following process.

1 - connect to ftp 1

2 - get file A

3 - disconnect from ftp1 and connect to ftp 2

4 - if file A is more up to date than File A on ftp 2 then upload the file

Would this be the correct way to do this or is there a better way?

Steps 1-3 are pretty straight forward but how would I do step 4 and compare the 2 files?

I had a very similar question and issue. I had a small data file I uploaded. A single one line txt file that has the file version that I use.  There were other recommendations though. Have a look https://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/166746-best-way-to-check-for-updated-file-on-server/

I think Guinness Had the best solution.
