stev379 Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I'm moving a floor from static to DCHP. Script to do this and clear DNS and WINS addresses and report is all set. The problem is that it points to the "Local Area Connection" using netsh. Even though all of the machines are using the proprietary network connection on these Dell GX270 and 280's, some of them are connected with the "Local Area Connection 2" or "Local Area Connection 3", etc. displayed in the network properties window. If I know which connection is currently connected, I can pass that into a variable of course. How can I have a script check to see which "Local Area Connection x" is currently connected? Thanks for any help or suggestions.
