Unable to chech checkboxes inside SysTreeView32

6 posts in this topic

I am trying to change IE settings by AutoiIt, but can't check items in SysTreeView32 by ControlTreeView();

My code is below:

var controlTreeView = "[CLASS:SysTreeView32; INSTANCE:1]";
var treeView = AutoItX.ControlGetHandle(hwnd, controlTreeView);
AutoItX.ControlTreeView(hwnd, treeView, "Check", "#6|#7, "");

However the code with command "Select" works fine and select the item I want:

var controlTreeView = "[CLASS:SysTreeView32; INSTANCE:1]";
var treeView = AutoItX.ControlGetHandle(hwnd, controlTreeView);
AutoItX.ControlTreeView(hwnd, treeView, "Select", "#6|#7, "");

Use the registry to do this, automating this window is more work than you need.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays.  -  ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script.  -  Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label.  -  _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file  -  SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor  -  GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI.  -   Latin Square password generator

I need to do it only with the help of AutoIt.

You don't need AutoIt, you're trying to change the settings for IE, and you're using another language to start with. Just write the settings in the registry where you should be doing this instead of manipulating a GUI.

Ya, I know that I can do it with registry. But the question is: "Why Aoutoit does not recognize the checkboxes in SysTreeView32 (there are standart windows controls)?". And my task requires to do it with GUI.
