Mr. Analogy Posted January 26, 2017 Share Posted January 26, 2017 This script fails: #include<file.au3> _FileWriteToLine ("C:\temp\claytest.txt",1, "clay's new text",true) ; this won't write if the file is empty ;returns error 1 - File has fewer lines than $iLine I've also tried writing to line 0 "then get error 4 : line is invalid. However, the next release will feature an updated version of the function which will give the user the option to increase the file size to allow the line to be written. FrancescoDiMuro Posted January 26, 2017 Share Posted January 26, 2017 @Mr. Analogy If you want to write in a specific line, I would suggest you to write some blank text, like: FileWriteLine($hFile, "") ; This, will make the first line as "non-empty", so you can proceed with _FileWriteToLine() Then, If you want to write at line 1 some text like what you posted, you can use _FileWriteToLine.
