Draw a selection box on screen

Hi all,

I have searched and found some examples of drawing on the screen.

However, none of them allow you simulate drawing a selection box.

i.e. Click and hold mouse top left, drag to bottom right (showing selection box), release mouse.  ( I can then do something with the selection, maybe save, or checksum)

Any help would be most grateful ...
