xcaliber13 Posted October 25, 2017 Share Posted October 25, 2017 How would I delete a space at the beginning of a line? I have a file that has a few lines that start with a space. I have been trying to use StringRegExpReplace but cannot get the space to delete. Should I be looking at some other command? Thank you Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Malkey Posted October 26, 2017 Share Posted October 26, 2017 Covering the file aspect of the question. Local $FileName = @ScriptDir & "\Filename.txt" ; File with leading space Local $t = FileRead($FileName) ConsoleWrite($t & @CRLF) Local $hFlleW = FileOpen($FileName, 2) ; $FO_OVERWRITE (2) = Write mode (erase previous contents) FileWrite($hFlleW, StringStripWS($t, 1)) ; $STR_STRIPLEADING (1) = strip leading white space, ; or, use mikell's StringRegExpReplace() example. FileClose($hFlleW) ConsoleWrite(FileRead($FileName) & @CRLF) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
