Hot to get value from IE object ID ?

$IEAttach = _IEAttach($AssemblyWindow)
$ID = _IEGetObjById($IEAttach, "lblItemData")
$Value = _IEFormElementGetValue($ID)
MsgBox(0, '', $Value)

I am not reading the value stored in this line of code

<SPAN id=lblItemData class=DisplayText style="WIDTH: 100%">5</SPAN>

The value is >5< and i am not reading it.

 

What am i doing wrong ?

SPAN is not a form element. You want the inner text. Take a look at _IEPropertyGet in the help file.

my understanding is that _IEPropertyGet  gives me information about entire document rather then anything specific.

I guess i was wrong.

$Value = _IEPropertyGet($ID, "innertext")

did the trick.
