Dropdown Menus

Is there a way, possibly through ControlCommand to access the dropdown menus usually accessed by right clicking on the background of a main window? I can MouseClick right, then select the desired option, but I'm trying to avoid 'hard coding' any MouseClick x,y locations in this script to make it work on many machines.

Well, that works for the windows background dropdown menu; which I suppose was my example. I'd rather use it in some 3d modelling software, but I'm beginning to think that I'm trying to compensate for a problem in the software with my script; which probably isn't going to work.
