Tearlow Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Way back in 2012 I wrote a assistance program to an old game called Demise: Rise of Ku'tan that simply sent text to the program in edit boxes directly and wouldn't have any issues running along the users own inputs even if overlapped. Sad to admit, I did lose the sourcecode for that project several years ago but from very limited understanding there used to be some sort of decompiler; if this was legit or not I cannot say. I can most likely prove I am the owner of this .exe by providing where it was posted on my own account. Is it at all possible to recover or would the only way be to rewrite things? Even if only the UI is recoverable that'd help a lot as I remember that being the biggest struggle. If not; For future projects are there any ways of allowing the source to be decompiled by the users? The reason I want to keep it in exe form is the ease of use/distributing. No need to ask the users to download AutoIT's IDE and run it themselves. That said; I do use multiple hosts to store sourcecode nowadays to be sure the same thing won't happen again.
