Ransom
Hi I would like to write a script where I press "Alt" key and hold, the script would do the following: Press Num* key once and release then Press delete key and hold, until I release Alt key When the ALt key is released, press Num* key once again. Is there any similar script as example where I can start with? Thanks! I am a newbie here hoping to get help.

Moderators Melba23 Posted August 22, 2020 Moderators Share Posted August 22, 2020 Ransom, Welcome to the AutoIt forums. Might I ask just why you need this rather esoteric set of key presses? There might be some easier way to do what you are trying to automate. M23 Hi M23: I am using a headtracking software, but the global enable key has restrictions, i cannot assign to "Alt". In a game called "Arma 3" Alt is my default freelook key. Also Num* key is my recenter key so every time if I enable headtracking I would have a fresh start. I guess I would only need a example script where it contains function calls for "press a certain key“, ”release a certain key" , "when the trigger key is pressed" "when the trigger key is released" etc, and I should be figure out the rest myself. Thanks.
Ransom
Also for your info, I have tried "auto hot key" and numerous other software. The closest I got is "auto hot key". My script works fine, but after a while the AHK script starts to mess with other keys behaviour mystically. That's why I am researching other solutions like this autoit script. Please read them now - particularly the bit about not discussing game automation - and then you will understand why you will get no help and this thread will now be locked. See you soon with a legitimate question I hope.
